Spend the school break CREATING ART, making awesome projects in an Art Camp!

Camps are scheduled during holidays and school breaks, designed as several creative hours or days in a row. We’re thrilled to have these opportunities to create together!

Learn diverse art styles, and explore exciting materials like paint and pastels, clay and sculpture, felting, fibers, and more. Grow your skills and learn new ones!

Most art camps are for Ages 7-12, with a few special camps for Ages 5-6, 8-14, and 10-14.

Week 1 • July 1-4

AM: “Ocean Life” Exploring Art Camp • Ages 7-12
9:00am-12:00pm, Mon-Thu
(3 hrs each day)

  • Full price per camp: $220 (early bird, multi-program, and sibling discounts apply automatically)

  • AM Camp: Ocean Life - Get ready for a deep dive into Ocean Life! Create a whale shark watercolor, ceramic clay reef wall-hanging, seashell drawing, and MORE!

    General info:
    Each camper’s artwork will be collected into a personal portfolio to be taken home at the end of Art Camp, on the last day.

    We will take a 10-15 minute break halfway through each day, please bring your own water bottle. You’re welcome to pack a snack (mindful of nut allergies). Snacks are not provided.

    No Lunch-Stay provided. If registering for both AM and PM camps, please plan to pick up your child for the lunch hour (12pm-1pm).

Week 2 • July 8-11

AM: “Master Artists” Painting & Drawing Camp • Ages 7-12

PM: “Passport to Paris” Exploring Art Camp • Ages 7-12

  • AM Camp: Master Artists - Learn from notable master artists around the world and throughout history, create your own personal masterpieces inspired by their iconic styles! Abstract modern art, Impressionist paintings, decorative folk art, story-telling portraits, and stained glass… So many different, influential styles!

    PM Camp: Passport to Paris - Boujour, Paris! Make a self-portrait wearing stripes and a beret, draw a “chat noir,” the iconic black cat by French painter Henri Toulousse-LauTrec, sculpt a clay gargoyle from the Notre Dame Cathedral, and paint a yummy croissant + hot chocolate. Oo-la-la, there will be MORE!

  • AM Camp: Wild West - Welcome to the ranch! Create art inspired by the farm and the Wild West: a cowboy/cowgirl selfie, a ceramic clay horseshoe wall-hanging, a classic red barn painting, and a metal-embossed mustang… Yeehaw!

    PM Camp: Animal Kingdom - From sea to summit, animals will inspire! Reptiles, sea creatures, wild animals, and forest creatures. Students will create with a variety of art materials, and learn introductory art techniques in painting, drawing, and sculpting.

    Friday Camp: Plant Power - Make two plant-themed projects in this half-day Art Camp: a mini potted succulent or cactus plant sculpture (polymer clay), and a bright still-life painting of a vibrant potted plant (gouache paint), learning painting and clay sculpture techniques.

AM: “Ceramics” Handbuilding & Wheel • Ages 7-9

PM: “Ceramics” Handbuilding & Wheel • Ages 10-14
1:00pm-4:00pm, Mon-Thu

  • Full price per camp: $300 (early bird, multi-program, and sibling discounts apply automatically)

  • Campers will experience ceramic clay every day through a variety of handbuilding projects AND the pottery wheel. Learn basic clay construction techniques including coil and slab building to create 3-6 ceramic sculptures (animals, houses, dishes, wall-hangings!). 1-2 vessels made on the wheel include pots & planters, bowls, cups, and vases. Glazing each piece with bright colors is the final step before being fired in the kiln.

    Learning: Ceramic Clay Cycle, Handbuilding, Slab, Coil & “Pinch Pot” Forms, Throwing & Centering on the Pottery Wheel, Score & Slip method, Texture, Sgraffito, Glazing

    General info:
    All clay projects will remain in the studio until fully dried and fired, available for pick-up 2-3 weeks after camp. You will be notified by email when your projects are ready!

AM: “USA Road Trip” Exploring Art Camp • Ages 7-12

  • AM Camp: USA Roadtrip - On the road to experience some favorite all-American icons: create a Route 66 sign, paint the Golden Gate Bridge, sculpt American diner food (burgers & fries!), and make a mini camper trailer!

    PM Camp: Printing & Drawing - An exciting 2D variety for the week, using many different art materials such as markers and inks, charcoal and pastels, and painting on canvases! Learn new techniques and use elements of art including balance & composition, perspective, proportions, shading, contrast, and color theory.

    Friday Camp: Sports Fans - Create a “chibi” style cartoon portrait of a favorite athlete, adding ink and color with illustration markers.

  • AM Camp: Sweet Treats - Sculpted cakes, painted pies, hand-stitched donut pillows, drawing candy brands close-up, and more… all things sweet will be our inspiration for art this week!

    PM Camp: Forest Life - Imagine stepping into the trees for this week of creativity, with all projects inspired by the plants and wildlife of the forest. Toadstools, woodland creatures, botanical printmaking, and more!

    Friday Camp: Ocean Adventure - Practice “observational drawing” by viewing images of beautiful tropical fish, and paint your chosen fish with bright, saturated colors. Metal emboss a coral reef scene, creating textures and shapes with wood tools on metal tooling foil, a sculpture technique called repoussé.

AM: “Kawaii & Anime” Painting & Drawing Camp • Ages 7-12

  • AM Camp: Kawaii & Anime - Create the CUTEST creatures and characters this week – literally: “kawaii” means “cute” in Japanese! This style of cartooning is simplified and adorable. We’ll create emotional & expressive food items and animals characters, and practice general anime style in portraits and other illustrations.

    PM Camp: Fiber Arts - Explore a variety of fabric, needle, and weaving arts with string, wool, and thread! Basket weaving, needle felting, simple sewing, and batik fabric dying will keep us going all week long.

    Friday Camp: How To Train Your Dragon - Create a “chibi” style cartoon portrait of Toothless the dragon, coloring & shading with ink and illustration markers. Create a clay sculpted dragon eye, with carved and shaped scales and textures, and paint on metallic accents.

  • AM Camp: Based On Books - A NEW set of projects, based on well-known and beloved books for children! What painted produce will the Hungry Caterpillar eat its way through? And what Series of Unfortunate Events will inspire your own illustrated book cover?

    PM Camp: Bon Voyage - Take the last trip of the summer! Enjoy travel-themed art projects, such as creating a passport and adding foreign stamps; drawing a still-life of packing items; and painting a colorful, vintage-style travel poster to somewhere afar.
