Spend the school break CREATING ART in our summer & holiday break Art Camps!

We offer enriching art education through multi- and single-day Art Camps for children and teens, incorporating a variety of professional art materials and techniques. From painting to pastels, printmaking, clay, sculpture, fiber arts, and more…. Grow your artistic skills and gain new ones in a comfortable, creative learning environment!

Our Studio is located downtown Walla Walla, we can’t wait to see you this summer!

”Starry Night”
Art Camp

VETERANS DAY ART CAMP

9AM - 12PM • Ages 7-12

Vincent Van Gogh’s “Starry Night” is one of the most famous and iconic paintings in the world! Paint your own Starry Night masterpiece with bold & colorful acrylic paint. Then apply the swirling “Impressionistic” style into a personalized Starry Night Selfie, using ink & illustration markers.

Learning: Art History & Impressionism Style, Composition, Brush Control, Color Mixing, Values, Shades & Tints, Landscape Painting & Portraiture, Illustrative Style, Art Marker Techniques
Each camper will collect their own artworks to be taken home at the end of Art Camp.
We will take a 20-minute break halfway through the morning. You’re welcome to bring your own snack and/or water bottle. Please be mindful of nut allergies. Snacks are not provided.
Please wear your "Make For Joy" Art Camp T-Shirt; if you don’t have one yet, a t-shirt will be included at camp.
Registration is for Monday-Thursday, not an individual day. Program is nonrefundable. See "Policies" on our website for more details.

Dec 15 Art Club (Monday)

HOLIDAY CRAFTS: Painting A Wooden Nutcracker
3:15-4:45 (1.5hr) • $30 • Ages 7-14

Paint and decorate your own wooden Nutcracker (~5 inches tall), a festive character ready for adorning your windowsill this holiday season- and perhaps capable of cracking some very miniature nuts!

Dec 16 Art Club (Tuesday)

HOLIDAY CRAFTS: Needle Felting An Ornament
3:15-4:45 (1.5hr) • $30 • Ages 7-14

Create a soft, felted figurine sculpted with wool fibers, using a specialized felting needle and colorful roving. Sew a ribbon through it, and it’s ready for the tree!

Dec 17 Art Club (Wednesday)

HOLIDAY CRAFTS: Christmas Origami
3:15-4:45 (1.5hr) • $30 • Ages 7-14

Learn the origami folding sequences for creating 3 festive Christmas figures: a Santa, a Reindeer, and a Christmas Tree! Students will make at least one of each, practicing the repetitions of the patterns and adding paper details.

It’s an exciting week of wonderful wintery creativity, with projects themed for the season and made with Painting and Drawing, Sculpture, Printmaking, and MORE! Campers will create multiple artworks in various styles & materials, and take it all home in a portfolio on the last day!
