We offer enriching art education through multi- and single-day Art Camps for children and teens, incorporating a variety of professional art materials and techniques. From painting to pastels, printmaking, clay, sculpture, fiber arts, and more…. Grow your artistic skills and gain new ones in a comfortable, creative learning environment!

  • MON-THU, APRIL 6-9:
    Welcome to Japan! Students will be immersed in the beautiful art and inspiring culture of Japan, learning about both ancient art-making practices like Shibori dye, ink printmaking (think, Hokusai’s Great Wave), and calligraphy, as well as modern animation (Anime), and Japanese cartooning. We will capture the spring blossoms of the cherry trees in acrylicpainting, sculpt a clayTotoro” character from the popular Japanese film by Studio Ghibli, and include projects inspired by Japanese cuisine, too: Mochi, Boba Tea, and Sushi! Say “Kon'nichiwa” to a super fun and creative week ahead!

    FRIDAY, APRIL 10:

    Enjoy TWO projects continuing the week’s theme of Japanese-inspired artwork: Create a Kawaii-style character using colorful alcohol markers and ink. Paint a striking koi fish in a spring pond with watercolors.

    We will take a 20-minute break halfway through each morning. Please bring your own water bottle and you’re welcome to pack a snack (mindful of nut allergies). Snacks are not provided.

    Pacific Northwest Art Camp - Explore our beautiful corner of the world by making art projects inspired by scenic places from sea to summit, as well as some of the most influential artists who hail from the PNW, like current artist Erik Abel, and BC-native painter Emily Carr 1871-1945).

    Sweet Treats Art Camp
    -  Our youngest campers are invited to join this SWEET week of creativity! Pastel painted cupcakes inspired by American painter Wayne Thiebaud, cutting and creating a paper-art gumball machine like Pop artist Burton Morris, sculpting a pinch-pot donut with sprinkles, and more… all things sweet will be our inspiration for art this week.

    Friday Camp, 9am-12pm, ages 7-12
    Plant Power - Make two plant-themed projects in this half-day Art Camp: a mini potted succulent or cactus plant sculpture (polymer clay), and a colorful embossed still-life foil relief of a vibrant potted plant (metal), learning both metal art and clay sculpture techniques.

    Australia Adventure - G’day, campers! And welcome to the Land Down Under! This week we will study the animals, landscape, and culture of Australia to make a variety of projects including rock dot-art painting, aboriginal cave art drawing, a poisonous animal portrait, and a polymer clay sculpted koala.

    PM Camp 1-4pm, ages 8-14
    Ceramics -
    It’s CLAY WEEK! Campers will experience ceramic clay every day through a variety of handbuilding projects! Learn basic clay construction techniques including pinch-pot and slab building to create 3-6 ceramic sculptures, both decorative and functional (animals, figurines, dishes, wall-hangings!). Glazing each piece with bright colors is the final step before the kiln. All clay projects will remain in the studio until fully dried and fired, available for pick-up 2-3 weeks after camp. You will be notified by email when your projects are ready!

Week 3 • July 6-9, 10

    Passport to Italy - Ciao, campers! “Travel” to Italia this week for a colorful, beautiful, and inspiring week of arte: Construct a sculpture of the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa or the Roman Colosseum, design a Masquerade mask and a “glass” art from Venice, recreate the lovely Mona Lisa portrait, and needle-felt a pizza! There’s MORE, and much amoreArrivederci!

    PM Camp 1-4pm, ages 7-12
    Modern Sculpture
    - Excited about sculpture and making 3D art out of things like wire, metal, clay, or cardboard? So were many influential artists, past and present, such as Jeff Koons (balloon dogs), Alexander Calder (wire mobiles), and Louise Nevelson (assemblage)! Make sculptures this week inspired by these makers and more– modern and current artists whose work goes beyond paint on paper.

    Friday Camp, 9am-12pm, ages 7-12
    Cats + Art - Two projects for the cat lovers out there! We will “catify” the most famous artworks, illustrating and replacing human or animal figures with…cats! Then we’ll create some feline friends with a “squeegee” method, using acrylic paint and a scraping technique and adding pencil and pen details.

  • AM Camp 9am-12pm, ages 7-12
    Tropical -  We’ll dip our paintbrushes (instead of our toes!) in a watercolor ocean, paint realistic seashells and a palm tree sunset. We’ll feature tropical parrots and toucans in acrylics, and sculpt a monstera leaf ceramic clay dish for trinkets. Come bask in MORE tropical beauty, inspiring other projects this week… maybe even sketch your sandals!

    PM Camp 1-4pm, ages 7-12
    Pets & Animals - The beautiful and beloved animal kingdom will inspire our projects this week! Reptiles, feathered friends, sea creatures, wild animals, domestic pets... Students will create with a variety of art materials including painting, drawing, sculpting, and more! 

    Friday Camp, 9am-12pm, ages 7-12
    Dragons - A dragon is hatching from its egg, with one colorful eye revealed behind the shards of the shell– which turns out to be made of embossed metal and colored with ink! Also sculpt a chibi-style polymer clay dragon!

Week 6 • July 27-30, 31

AM: “Fiber Arts & Felting” Art Camp • Ages 8-14

    Fiber Arts & Felting - Create with fabric, sewing, weaving, and needle felting! Wind and weave a multicolored rope coil basket, hand-stitch a mini pillow, batik-dye a wall-hanging, and enjoy felting with both dry-needle and wet-felting techniques.

    PM Camp 1-4pm, ages 7-12
    Artist Icons
    - Colors, patterns, and portraits, oh my! Learn about some of the most iconic, incredible artists around the world (throughout history) in this week packed full of many styles of art. Watercolor in vivid “Fauvism” like Henri Matisse; paint a tropical oasis like Paul Gauguin's Tahiti landscapes; use the color blue just like Pablo Picasso; simplify shapes and color into a striking abstract like Sonia Delaunay; celebrate & illustrate the regular backyard critters like Charley and Edie Harper… and more!

    Friday Camp, 9am-12pm, ages 7-12
    Sunflowers
    - This lovely summer flower will inspire TWO projects: Needle-Felt a soft golden field or single sunflower using a specialized needle and soft wool fibers. Also create a “Foil Relief” metal sculpture of a bright bouquet of sunflowers, colored with ink against the shiny background.

Week 7 • August 3-6, 7

AM: “Woodland” Art Camp • Ages 7-12

    Woodland - Imagine stepping into the woods for this week of creativity, with all projects inspired by the plants and wildlife of the forest. Create a cut paper-art woodland scene, sculpt a polymer clay forest critter, paint some whimsical toadstools, and an Emily Carr-inspired forestscape… and more!

    PM Camp 1-4pm, ages 8-14
    Fruit-Tastic - This will be a week of “juicy and delicious” creativity inspired by our favorite fruits! While no projects will be actually edible, our art subjects will be! Paint a fruit still life like Frida Kahlo and the masters; learn to sculpt a polymer clay “cane” to make identical slices of a fruit design for jewelry or a keychain; draw “kawaii” fruit characters with illustration markers; and make a ceramic clay fruit dish.

    Friday Camp, 9am-12pm, ages 7-12
    Kawaii - Two kawaii-style projects that will capture the cuteness of Japanese cartooning. Draw & color with alcohol illustration markers a food/animal mash-up character, such as an adorable “dragon fruit” or “huckle-bear-y”… And sculpt a cute kawaii-style animal in polymer clay!

  • Each camper’s artwork will be collected into a personal portfolio to be taken home at the end of Art Camp, on the last day. 

  • We will take a 10-15 minute break halfway through each day. Please bring your own water bottle, and you’re welcome to pack a snack (mindful of nut allergies). Snacks are not provided.

  • No Lunch-Stay provided. If registering for both AM and PM camps, please plan to pick up your child for the lunch hour (12pm-1pm).
